A man from Las Vegas, Vincent Bailey, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to sex-trafficking a 16-year-old girl.
The trafficking spanned multiple cities — the victim was exploited in Las Vegas, Los Angeles (on a street known for prostitution called “the blade”), and National City, California (in a motel district along a notorious corridor for sex-work along Roosevelt Avenue).
Authorities say the trafficker used social media to recruit the girl, then transported and controlled her, placing online advertisements for her. She was eventually “branded” with a tattoo under her eye matching one of his — a method traffickers use to mark control.
When the victim tried to escape — contacting her mother and police in National City — the trafficker threatened her. Despite that, she returned to Las Vegas with a relative and the case triggered a broader investigation into this cross-city “pimp circuit.”
The case highlights how traffickers operate across state and city boundaries, moving victims through networks of motels and known red-light districts spanning Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Diego/National City.
